Our Story

In today’s hustle and bustle, where do you genuinely feel welcome?

For many GR foodies, Pink Piggy, a casual Asian cuisine restaurant located on Wealthy Street in the heart of Gaslight Village, is high on their list. If you haven’t treated yourself to Pink Piggy’s delicious house special potstickers, pork lo mein, fresh-made boba, or a range of other delights, you’re missing out!

Kevin and I are proud owners of Pink Piggy, which recently celebrated its first anniversary of serving delicious, high-quality Asian delights in a friendly, community-minded setting.

Crafting our diverse menu from family recipes (such as my Mom’s heavenly potstickers), flavors inspired by our global travels, and our entertaining group of international friends (don’t miss the Peruvian sauces!), Pink Piggy has something mouth-watering for everyone.

Even our boba menu embodies creativity – ranging from traditional options like strawberry and mango to avocado-banana and off-menu surprises like turmeric-ginger.

Living half a world away from our families and the places we originally called home, we wanted to create not just a great restaurant, but a place that fosters friendship, community, and support of others.

In fact, the name “Pink Piggy” is quite intentional. The color pink symbolizes love and compassion. And in the Chinese zodiac, the pig (no surprise – my birth year) represents sustenance, wealth, and feasting!

The food at Pink Piggy is so good that you might think we are serial restaurateurs. Not at all! In fact, our day jobs in textiles technology and IT don’t necessarily scream “restaurant”, but our desire to foster community was too strong to be denied. Inspired and encouraged by our friend Caitlyn Gao, herself a Vietnamese-American force of nature who helps immigrants transition and thrive, we followed our dreams. One year on, we are so glad we took the leap and appreciate the support of our dear friends, growing customer base, and fellow EGR restaurateurs.

In our own words, “Pink Piggy is a place for fun, happiness, friendship, and compassion. Everything is rosy!

So come visit Pink Piggy, where you will always feel welcome, leave satisfied, and return with anticipation.
